Hope and Freedom

There is joy in writing again.  I know my writing will expand to include subjects beyond nutrition, but I feel pulled in the direction of a regular blog about this particular part of my practice.

I do believe that this company was Divinely created.  I do!  Those who know me, know that my faith defines me.  It is faith that carried me through the very dark years, and it is faith that changed a messed up, angry young woman with a past, into the work-still-in-progress today.  I fought back the darkness and stayed focused on the light.  He never left me.  He never let me down.   He has shown more grace and mercy than I deserve, because that is how He operates...

He brought me to Isagenix, and to a company that defied all odds because of the people who put experience and integrity into practice.  What makes our products different?  The master formulator.  What makes our company different? The vision of experienced leaders and a culture of love and family.

I don't sell products.  I have never pushed anyone into anything.  I don't have to.  The products sell themselves within days of trying them.  I share a belief and a passion.  That's it.

If there is anything I sell, it is HOPE...

People are sick, and they are crying for relief.  They are tired and cranky.  They are hurting physically and emotionally.  They are strapped financially.  I was all of those things, too.  Even as someone who has promoted health my entire career. Nothing has changed more lives as quickly as Isagenix.

I also sell FREEDOM!

Freedom from worry and financial stress.
Freedom from fatigue.
Freedom from debilitation.
Freedom from malnutrition (even as we over feed ourselves)
Freedom from physical symptoms that we weren't ever designed to experience in a first world country.

The BEST part though, is the people I continue to meet.  They are hungry for answers.  We have them.  I have a team that wants to help for all the right reasons.  We are growing and expanding as people, and we are sharing what we learn... because we truly want to help.

The last year and a half has been an unbelievable time for me personally, and I am so very grateful.  It has cost me a few things, and some relationships along the way, but I have gained so much more.  The opportunity to make a difference, to do God's work, and to continue to evolve as a person and a professional.  Priceless... absolutely priceless...

A servant's heart...

When I was little, adults would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up...

I remember wanting to be a doctor, dolphin trainer, an architect, and a truck driver (Smokey and the Bandit was the current hit)  Later, I just said..."I don't know, I just want to help people."

The doctor idea stuck.  Then, in high school, I had the opportunity to work in the athletic trainer's office after school.  I immediately fell in love with the energy and the environment of the boy's locker room.  Snicker all you want, it never occured to me that there were half naked football players, just people who needed my help.

I wrapped ankles mostly, but Mr. Lucchetti, the AT, let me try all of the modalities available to us at the time.  I iced new injuries, placed heat on old injuries, stretched what was tight, and strengthened what was weak.  I got to spend every football games on the sidelines instead of the stands.  I was 15 and 16 years old.  I was in love with the job.

I wanted to be an Athletic Trainer for the NFL.  It was the 80's.  When I went to college, I was told in no uncertain terms that women would never be welcome in that environment at the professional level...I should consider something else.  I believed him.  It was a crushing blow.

I changed my emphasis to fitness, which was a very young concept at the time.  I loved it.  I stopped smoking, I stopped drinking, I started eating healthy, and I graduated at the top of my class.  Since then, I have helped thousands of people get healthier.  I taught them exercise could be fun, and a club could be a place where they belong.  I was doing what God put me on this Earth to do.  I never made much money, but I have no regrets!  From 1986 - 2009, I worked in the fitness industry.  Manager, director, trainer, instructor, mentor, therapist, and salesman...I held every title.  It was dynamic, and it was a blast!

Now, my emphasis is nutrition.  Healthy food that tastes great.  Products that turn back the hands of time, and give people an energy and vitality that they thought was gone.  Joints that don't ache, bones that won't break, visceral fat that disappears...an absolute gift beyond measure.

Isagenix has given this old girl a chance to keep helping others.  In many ways, much more profoundly.  Nourishing cells, and giving the body a chance to do what it does best...HEAL!

I will spend the rest of my days helping anyone who wants it.  The blessings are countless, and I consider myself one of the lucky ones.  There wasn't ever a question as to my purpose in this world.  I am grateful beyond measure for the opportunity to keep on sharing the Good News of health and to teach people how to really LIVE rather than just exist.

Be well, my friends...

Once upon a time...

Once upon a time, I started writing my thoughts down.  There was awesome therapeutic catharsis that came with letting my fingers fly over the keyboard.  The truth hurt some people, but it was my truth.

Once upon a time, I deleted all of my posts.  The good, the bad, the ugly...a lot of stuff...then I just wiped it all out.

I think back and wish I had kept some of them, but I am also a big fan of fresh starts, and new beginnings.

Honestly, experience has taught me that you can't move forward, while dwelling on the past.

Once upon a time, I took a chance on a company, an idea, and a product line.  This quickly became my new beginning.  More than that, it became a passion.  It took over my life, and exponentially improved it on every level.

Once upon a time, my dreams were just that...dreams...

Today they are becoming reality.

Now each day I wake up, with a schedule that is mine, with products that keep me healthy and feeling great, and a company that continues to impress me with their Integrity and Commitment to excellence.

Those are things I understand.  I starve for information.  I continually feel the need to grow, and learn, and become more.  Our company satisfies that craving.  Our team of beautiful souls, keeps me motivated to create a legacy for everyone.

I wish to share this adventure with you...if you will allow.

Once upon a time, I stood on the sidelines watching everyone else fulfill their dreams, and have fun doing it.  Today, I am one of those people.

I know there are people on the sidelines, just like I was.

Today, I say to them:

Join us! You won't be sorry!  You will meet amazing people, and you will go to beautiful places, and you will learn valuable skills, and you will feel physically better than you have ever felt in your entire life.  You will attract abundance and beauty!
